The paper presents analysis of data of Czech National Cancer Registry from the viewpoint of modelling of incidence and mortality related to breast carcinoma. Special attention is paid to Age-Period-Cohort models (AP, AC, APC models). Both model estimates and predictions produced by these algorithms are of administrative and scientific importance. AP models were sufficiently applied to predict brest carcinoma mortality for the period 1997 – 2001. Comparative evaluation of model predictions with real data indicated significant impact of many factors that can interact with age-specific incidence and mortality in this disease. Paper is pilot methodical contribution to the evaluation of Czech national breast cancer screening program.
