Summary: In the years 1976 – 2000 we had accepted 5511 altogether, 3400 of them with malignant cancers. Occurrence of single diagnosis due to the incidence of the tumours of childhood presented in the literature. The results of therapy are dramatically changing according to the development of therapeutic guidelines. The probability of surviving without considering the diagno sis the diagnose increases from 45% in the years 1976 – 1980 to 74% in 1996 – 2000. However the progress in therapy differs at single diagnoses. For example germ cell tumours (92%) vs. malignant tumours of soft tissues (64%).
