Summary: Multiple myeloma ranks among the most often haematologic malignancies. Annually we diagnose about 20 cases of multiple myeloma on our department, one half of them is treated by high dose chemotherapy regimen with support of peripheral blood stem cells. We present the results of multiple myeloma therapy on our department in the period 1997-2001. Although the both different cured group of patients are not one another totally comparable, also our results witness for therapeutic effect improvement at using high dose chemotherapy regimen with support of PBSC. This treatment modality leads to significant improvement quality of life near majority this way treated patients. We can so cure also the patient older 65 years as bear witness to our experience and very good results while using regime MEL100 at few our patients.
