A study has been initiated aimed on a validation of existing Gail’s model in the Czech Republic and development of an original model estimating the risk of breast cancer in women. First, a questionnaire of potential risk factors has been proposed based on a relevant literature search and the methodology of questionnaire distribution in the Czech Republic has been suggested. Validation of a predictive model will be based on statistical analyses of the collected data. The goal of such a predictive model is to create a computer program, allowing calculation of the individual risk of breast cancer in czech women. Valid assessment of the individual risk is essential for health care providers for counselling and individual care management, including the selection of women for regular preventive measures
