Summary: The paper deals with current possibilities of brain tumour chemotherapy. The problems associated with the hematoencephalic barrier and multidrug resistance oftumourcells to current anticancercompounds are analysed in detail. The studies focused on the osmotic and pharmacologic disruption of hematoencephalic barrier are discussed. Although these focuses on the prediction of tumour response to chemotherapy according to the responses of the patienť s tumour cells to anticancer compounds in vitro.
