Summary: The potential of certain chemicals to modulate endocrine systems, and thereby interfere with reproduction and development in human and wildlife, is now widely recognised. Correlational evidence suggests that specific populations of animals and humans have been, or currently are being adversaly affected by exposure to environmental contaminants that manifest effects through modulation of different endocrinne systems. There have been several recent reports of endocrinnemediated abnormalities in specific populations of human, fish, avian, reptilian and mammalian species and human population (for example exposure to DDT, other chlorinated pesticides, tributyltin etc.). Paper describes that problems of anthropogenic and natural estrogens and their effects.
