Summary: Chronic lymphocytic leukemia, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, plasmocytoma and malignant tumors. The authors examined 56 patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and plasmocytoma and malignant solid tumors from Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute and patients from the National cancer registry from southern Moravia. They did not find a meaningful
relationship of this haematologic malignancies with kidney carcinoma, but did find a relationship with carcinoma of the skin, bronchus, gastrointestinum, breast and gynecological malignancies. Their higher incidence in multiple carcinomas can be taken as natural because of their higher proportion in incidence of all malignancies. The group of patients from Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute assigned a high weight of alkylating chemotherapy and familiar incidence of tumors. As protection against secondary malignancies, the authors recomend careful choice of alkylating chemotherapy, and warn against smoking, alcohol consumption, diet load, UV radiation etc., especially in families with carcinoma anamnesis.
