This review article is focused on the pathology of prostate cancer. The morphological and differential diagnostics of prostate cancer are analysed. Attention is given to the new markers of biological tumor activity which enable improved diagnostics and better analysis of the disease prognosis. Rare prostate cancer variants are briefly discussed.
