Abstract: The development of chemotherapy for locally advanced and metastatic bladder cancer are described. The advantages and disadvantages of adjuvant and neo-adjuvant chemotherapy are discussed. The author's own results are correlated with a literary review. A multidisciplinary approach in bladder cancer treatment is emphasized.
