Summary: The tumours of the pinna are usually treated by surgical approach, always with serious cosmetical consequences. We describe our results achieved on a group of 16 pacients treated with HDR MicroSelectron sandwich moulds loaded with Ir192. Complete response was achieved in all of these patients with low acute toxicity (only in 4 patients moist desquamation was observed). During the mean follow-up period of 12 months no local recurrence was recorded. Final cosmetic outcome in all treated patients was described as excellent.
