Klin Onkol 1993; 6(6): 163-167.

Summary
Neurotoxicity, accentuated by previous numerous methotrexate applications intrathecally and hepatotoxicity, which is of transient character and does not leave prolonged after-effects either clinically or laboratorily, prove to be most significant of the analysed undesirable and toxic effects of methotrexate even in our set.
Myelosupresis is also significant, most frequently more serious (II and III grades according to WHO classification).
Due to intensive alkalisation and hydratation formula no nephrotoxicity had been seen.
There is also no dependence between the serum methotrexate levels and clinical signs of the methotrexate toxicity.
