The intraarterial regional therapy of malignant tumours has different complications. In our paper we discuss only the problems of intraarterial application of cytostatic drugs with macro or microembolization. We divide these changes into direct and indirect influences. We will not discuss indirect manifestations of therapy because they are very similar to the changes caused by the systemic application of cytostatic drugs. At the first: The complications at the place of puncture caused by percuteneous insertion of the catheter. It can induce suppuration at the place of puncture. The thrombi often arise in the surrounding of puncture both under the place of puncture and above it. The transaxillary method has higher tensency to thrombosize than femoral method. The aneurysm can rarely arise in the wall of puncture´s vessel. The necrosis of the skin and subcutis can originate very rorely in the surrounding of puncture.
