Summary: The effects of colchicine and colchiciline on microtubular system of HeLa cells are compared. Higher concentration of colchiciline, on the contrary to colchicine, does not damage substantially microtubular system after two-hours exposure. Strong destruction of microtubules can be seen only after 4 h of treatment with colchiciline.
