Klin Onkol 1988; 1(2): 42-44.

Summary: The aim of our Study was to evaluate individual epidemiologic risk factors in the occurence of breast cancer. We evaluated four groups (a risk group, a group with malignant diseases, a treated risk group and control group). In all groups we followed up 13 risk factors. We determinated the order of importance of five statistically significant risk factors:

  1. surgical intervention in personal history

  2. breast cacer in family history

  3. other cancer in family history

  4. nulliparity

  5. intellectual character of work.

Other five factors (reduced lenght of reproductiove age, the number of children born to one women, lenght of reproductive age, menopause and menarche) show a statistical deviation with p<0,05. The remaining three factors (mastitis in personal history, nursing and housing conditions) are practically without any statistical relationship to the risk of breast cancer occurence. We also mentioned the question of luteas supplementation (Monogest) therapy of dysplasia.
